This fund aims to help community events in Auckland get the right infrastructure in place, so all waste is separated and processed correctly and less waste is sent to landfill.
Grants of up to $500 are available for community events taking place in Auckland.
The grant will be allocated to events for expenses like:
- renting zero waste equipment, such as cutlery and crockery
- buying vouchers for volunteers who support waste reduction activities, like waste educators at bin stations or volunteers washing dishes
- buying compostable packaging
- paying for recycling and food waste collections (excluding landfill waste costs).
