About Walmsley Park

Named after a long serving Mt Roskill Borough Councillor, this park connects with Underwood Park. The two parks are important features for the local community.

A flat shared cycleway links the two parks. The northern end connects with the SH20 cycleway and Waterview shared path.

New bridges within the park help link the Wesley and Owairaka communities.

Walmsley Park has:

  • a drinking fountain
  • grassed open space with picnic tables and seats.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
