About Underwood Park
Underwood Park - the BMX pump track winding through the trees.
Named after a long serving Mt Roskill Borough Councillor, this park connects with Walmsley Park. The two parks are important features for the local community.
A flat shared cycleway links the two parks. The southern end connects with the War Memorial Park and Sandringham Road.
New bridges within the park help link the Wesley and Owairaka communities.
Underwood Park has:
- a fantastic natural playground with traditionally designed hūpara. You'll need to be brave to conquer this!
- a BMX pump track near the new bridge crossing to Owairaka Park.
You need to know
Animals
Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.
Alcohol
Alcohol is banned from some public places in Auckland. See Alcohol bans to find out the rules for each park and view ban maps.
Smokefree parks
Our parks are all smokefree.
Waste
Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.
Outdoor fires
It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
