The Mayoral Proposal is a significant part of the process to develop and adopt our annual and long-term plans. It outlines the mayor’s vision and priorities for Auckland.
The Governing Body adopted the final Mayoral Proposal for the annual plan on 28 May 2025.
Advice from Auckland Council and council-controlled organisations supported the development of the Mayoral Proposal.
This advice is reflected in the 'Staff Advice to support the Mayoral Proposal' document. This document provides details about the options presented for the mayor to consider in his proposal.
A draft Mayoral Proposal was released on 1 December 2023. It outlined the mayor’s vision and the mayor and councillors' priorities for the annual plan.
