Tāmaki River inlet Shoreline Adaptation Plan (SAP) considers the future of council-owned land and assets across the region's coastal areas in response to the impacts of climate change, erosion and flooding.

• Ōtāhuhu
• Middlemore
• Papatoetoe
• Ōtara
• Highbrook.

Stages of Tāmaki River inlet Shoreline Adaptation Plan 

• August 2025 - plan endorsed by the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu, Ōtara-Papatoetoe and Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Boards.
• January 2025 to July 2025 - plan reviewed.
• October to December 2024 -  further public consultation (community feedback).
• April 2024 to October 2024 - plan developed.
• February 2024 to April 2024 - plan opened for public consultation (community feedback).
