Plan Change 120 submissions are available from 12 March 2026. This is before the 'further submission' period and the Summary of Decisions Requested (SDR) is publicly notified. The SDR is a document that details changes, support or opposition to the public submissions.
Publication of the PC 120 original submissions will:
- assist the Independent Hearings Panel to prepare for the hearings programme
- assist submitters, the public and panel members to read and understand the original public submissions before the 'further submissions' period
- allow submitters to engage early with other submitters on issues raised in their submissions
- support transparency.
Important things to know
- The 'further submissions' period runs from 14 May to 5 June 2026. Check our Timeline for the Independent Hearings Panel for PC 120 for details.
- You can only make a 'further submission' after the SDR is publicly notified.
- Notification of the SDR is expected on 14 May 2026.
- We have removed or hidden the limited offensive or sensitive information in the public submissions.
Any submitter or member of the public can contact unitaryplan@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz if you think any offensive or sensitive information should be removed or hidden.
A small number of submissions have not been made public because the submitter requested their name or address be kept confidential. The panel is considering these requests and have yet to make a decision.
Why information may be removed or hidden
Some information may be removed or hidden in submissions. This does not imply that Auckland Council:
- finds the content offensive
- is taking an editorial stance.
Auckland Council removes or hides information for:
- Privacy and protection: Removing sensitive details that could expose submitters to scams, abuse or identity theft. This includes bank statements and health information.
- Third-party privacy: Removing faces and number plates, as well as the names of people other than the submitter.
- Maintaining community standards: Removing content that may be offensive to the wider community to maintain a constructive public record. This could include racist, sexist or abusive language.
- Confidentiality: Removing information based on requests for anonymity or confidentiality. These requests are assessed against public interest requirements.
How to find an original submission
You can find an original submission using its number, submitter name or organisation.
If you search by name or organisation, it must match how it appears in our submitter list.
