A plan change is a change to a regional or district plan in the Auckland Unitary Plan. This could either be initiated by council or a member of the public. This list includes all plan changes and changes to the regional policy statement.
The government introduced Plan Stop legislation last year requiring proposed and draft changes to district plans to stop unless they meet criteria or have an exemption approved. So far, Auckland Council has applied for five exemptions for changes to the Auckland Unitary Plan. Two applications have been approved, one has been declined, with the remaining two still being considered by the Minister for the Environment.
