About the plan change

This private plan change aims to amend the National Grid Corridor Overlays in the AUP planning maps to recognise the proposed part relocation of the Huntly–Otahuhu A transmission line.

The plan change comprises:

·     applying the National Grid Yard Uncompromised Overlay 12m either side of the centre line of the       proposed realignment; and

·     applying the National Grid Subdivision Corridor Overlay to the proposed realignment with a 22.5m radius         around each support structure; and

·     adjusting the National Grid Substation Corridor to cover the current ‘gap’ in the National Grid Substation           Corridor Overlay and allowing the National Grid Corridor Overlays to overlap.

The request does not seek to remove the National Grid Corridor Overlays over the existing transmission line, as a formal plan change is not required for this.

Additionally, the request does not relate to the provision and works for the proposed transmission line realignment, as this is being more appropriately assessed through a separate resource consent process.

We are processing with this private plan change on a limited notification basis.  The people we directly informed of the proposal may make a submission if they choose.  Other people may read about the proposal but cannot make a submission. For more information about limited notification see the relevant section in the Resource Management Act.”

Limited Notification

This plan change has limited notification under clause 5A(4)(b) of First Schedule, Resource Management Act 1991, making submissions under this clause limited to those given written notice of this plan change.
