At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.

Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

3. What happens next

Your application form will be reviewed by:

  • New Zealand Police
  • one of our alcohol licensing inspectors.

We will forward your application to the District Licensing Committee who will make the final decision.

If your application is granted

If the District Licensing Committee approves your application, we’ll post your temporary authority to you.

You need to display it in a visible place by the main entrance to your premises, next to the existing on-licence or off-licence.

If your application is contested

If there is opposition to your application, we will let you know.
