Property File Products and Land Information Memorandums are experiencing delays due to a technical issue. We are working through the backlog to deliver customer orders as soon as possible.
You will need a public market licence if you want to run a market in a public space.
Visit What is a public place? for more information.
Public market licences cannot be changed or transferred. If you have taken over the management of a market with an existing public market licence, you must apply for a new licence.
You will not need a public market licence if:
- you want to be a stallholder at an existing market. In this case the market will already be approved as a trading site so you should discuss your options with the market organiser
- your market is going to be on private land, such as a supermarket car park. In this case you will need permission from the landowner
- your market will be based at a community hall or facility.
