Riversdale Reserve is a large sports park at the base of the Rosebank Peninsula. Its name can be linked back to the historic Riversdale Farm and its close association with the nearby Whau River.
This park is mostly grassed and has bookable sports fields catering for cricket in the summer and soccer in the winter.
There is a playground for younger children, and basketball courts, volleyball net, and skatepark for the older kids. A path runs through the middle of the reserve alongside fitness equipment.
There is a drinking fountain on the path between the playground and the toilets.
Access the car park from Riversdale Road. Pedestrians can also access from Taramea and Dampier streets. Buses stop outside numbers 124 Riversdale Road and 20 Maple Street.
A gentle path through the park gives easy access to all the facilities including the car park and accessible toilets.
There are two accessible parking spaces at the northern end of the car park by the toilets.
