Get a camping pass

Our camping passes are valid for 12 months from 1 October to 30 September. They allow repeated use of most Auckland Council campgrounds and facilities (conditions apply).

 Where and when you can use your camping pass

There are restrictions on where and when you can use your pass.

Passes cannot be used at Muriwai Regional Park at any time of the year.

Passes are not valid during December, January and February (inclusive) at the following vehicle-based and self-containment certified (SCC) vehicle campgrounds, and designated SCC parking areas:

  • Mahurangi
  • Scandrett
  • Shakespear
  • Tāwharanui
  • Wenderholm.

Your camping pass is valid for 12 months from 1 October to 30 September at all other Auckland Council regional parks.

Camping pass

The camping pass is for all modes of camping.

Costs are $150 per adult and $57 per child (5-17 years).

The camping pass is non-refundable once used.

​SCC camping pass

The SCC camping pass is for campervans, vehicles, caravans, 5th wheelers, or campermatics.

Cost is $258 per vehicle.

The SCC camping pass is not refundable once used.
