Register for site assessment

Property managers or body corporates can register with us for a site assessment.

The assessment helps us understand how the food scraps collection service can be provided to your multi-unit development.

Email us at WastePlanMultiUnit@aklc.govt.nz with the following details:

  • Address of the multi-unit development.
  • Number of units.
  • Contact name and designation (e.g. property manager, building manager or developer).
  • Phone number.
  • Email address.
  • Your preferred method of contact.
  • Other relevant information about the property.

We will contact you for a site assessment.

Opting out of the food scraps collection

The annual rates charge for the 2024/2025 food scraps collection service is currently $81.19 for a property. If you pay property rates in an area covered by the service, you cannot opt out of the charge. This is the same for our recycling bin service.

The only grounds for opting out of the charge will be after we complete a site assessment and decide we cannot provide a food scraps collection to your multi-unit development.
