There are currently two waste minimisation centres in Auckland offering free sessions where you can learn how to minimise your waste.
The Zero Waste Zone is a fun, hands-on learning centre located at the Waitākere Refuse and Recycling Transfer Station, Henderson.
At the centre, children learn about reducing, reusing and recycling common household items.
They can also learn about recycling food scraps through a range of fun activities.
For more information and to make a booking enquiry, visit Zero waste heroes.
Re.Group manages Auckland Council's materials recovery facility.
All kerbside recycling is sorted at their facility in Onehunga. Tour groups are welcome to visit and learn how we sort and process recycling in Auckland.
Re.Group can adapt a tour for your group or come to you with a presentation.
