How to bid for a tender with Auckland Council

1. Register in eTenderBox and Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS)

You need to have an eTenderBox account to take part in the tender process.

You can create an account in eTenderBox and register online.

eTenderBox

All our open tenders will be advertised on GETS.

If you are interested in our open tendered opportunities, you should also register on GETS and select the type of notifications you want to receive.

You will be invited to participate via eTenderBox after you register your interest for a specific open tender in GETS.

2. Read and respond to a tender

The tender content in eTenderBox provides all information about the contract and the required format of the response.

You can also ask questions and seek clarification if necessary in eTenderBox.

The terms and conditions for a tender are also available.

3. Evaluation and negotiation

We will evaluate responses using the method and criteria set out in the tender document. This may include presentations and site visits, if required.

4. Contract awarded

We will notify successful and unsuccessful participants of the outcome. We will finalise the contract document and it will be signed by all parties.

We may publish contract details in accordance with our policy of openness and transparency.

5. Commencement of contract

Suppliers should not start work until their contract is complete and signed by all parties.

We use an application called SRM Portal. It lets suppliers with Auckland Council contracts:

  • access and update contract information
  • upload different types of insurance
  • complete questionnaires
  • manage communications.

Suppliers will receive a registration link to the SRM Portal:

  • when the contract is fully signed, and
  • if they are not already registered on the SRM Portal.

We will evaluate performance according to the terms of the contract.
