Tendering process steps
1. Register to SAP Ariba and Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS)
Create an account in SAP Ariba and complete the online profile. If you are interested in our open tendering opportunities, you should also register on GETS and select the type of notifications you want to receive.
2. Read and respond to tender
The tender content in SAP Ariba will provide all information about the contract and the required format of the response. You can also ask questions and seek clarification if necessary.
The terms and conditions for suppliers wishing to work with us or make a tender are also available.
3. Evaluation and negotiation
Responses will be evaluated using the method set out in the tender. This may include presentations and site visits if required.
4. Contract awarded
Successful and unsuccessful participants will be notified of the outcome. Details may be publicly published in accordance with our policy of openness and transparency.
5. Commencement of contract
Performance will be evaluated according to the terms of the contract.
You can access online support for SAP Ariba by clicking 'help centre' once you are logged in.
Health and safety
We are committed to working with our contractors to ensure health and safety.
Contractors must have an adequate health and safety management system that includes:
- safe systems of work
- safe work environments
- safe plant and equipment
- adequate health and safety training and supervision.
All contractors undertaking work for us must declare their health and safety performance.
Contractors intending to undertake high risk work must demonstrate they have the appropriate resources, knowledge and expertise, and have had their health and safety system appraised against an acceptable external standard, commonly known as prequalification. We recognise valid external accreditation, such as AS/NZ 4801 or OHSAS 18001 and valid pre-qualification agents for prequalification.
