The Aotea/Great Barrier Local Board makes decisions at its monthly business meetings.
Members of the public can attend the Aotea/Great Barrier Local Board business meetings, either:

Members of the public can speak at local board business meetings through:
Anyone can speak for up to three minutes during a public forum at a business meeting as long as the topic is related to the roles and responsibilities of the local board.
You do not need to give notice to speak during a public forum, but you must tell the democracy advisor that you intend to speak before the meeting starts.
You can also speak at a business meeting for up to 10 minutes through a deputation. This is a formal presentation and needs approval from the chairperson.
Email aoteagreatbarrierlocalboard@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz at least seven working days before the day of the meeting if you want to speak through a deputation.
