Kaipara Moana (Harbour) Shoreline Adaptation Plan (SAP) considers the future of council-owned land and assets across the region's coastal areas in response to the impacts of coastal processes, climate change, erosion and flooding.
The Rodney Local Board endorsed this SAP in July 2025.
This SAP covers areas along the shoreline of the Kaipara Harbour starting at Te Rau Pūriri Regional Park (South Head) and follows the Kaipara Harbour coastline to Tāpora, turning east up Oruawharo River to Te Hana.
