The Pākiri to Mathesons Bay / Te Kohuroa Shoreline Adaptation Plan (SAP) considers the future of council-owned land and assets across the region's coastal areas in response to the impacts of coastal processes, climate change, erosion and flooding.
The Rodney Local Board endorsed this SAP in July 2025.
This SAP covers the area along the eastern coastline of the Hauraki Gulf. It starts at Auckland Council's regional boundary at Te Arai and follows the coastline south to Mathesons Bay / Te Kohuroa.
