COVID-19 grants and funding information
Auckland Council will be deferring the payment of grants and funding to services or activities deemed non-essential while Auckland remains in Alert Level 4 or Alert Level 3 as part of its plans to manage the impact of COVID-19.
Quick Response grants will still open for application unless otherwise stated. If you're submitting an application, please ensure you have considered which alert level your activity is able to proceed. Payment for these grants will be made at Alert Level 2.
Like many organisations and households in this time of economic uncertainty, the council is planning for the impacts from COVID-19 to continue beyond the current lockdown period.
There will be a number of exceptions where payment of grants and funding for non-essential services must continue. The decision of which grants meet those exceptions will be guided by a set of principles applied to Council’s management of non-essential expenditure throughout this period.
We will be ensuring services considered vital for the recovery period and where deferring payment could impact service delivery later will continue. Welfare or community support services which are critical for vulnerable people will also continue, including, for example, Citizens Advice Bureau and Auckland City Mission.
