Complain about a health and beauty business

How to make a complaint

Contact us if you are concerned about:

  • the standard of hygiene of a business
  • a business operating without a licence
  • a business not providing a safe environment for customers.

While some businesses do not need a health protection licence to operate, they must still provide a safe and hygienic environment and comply with the minimum standards.

Contact the National Public Health Service - Northern Region (formerly known as Auckland Regional Public Health Service) regarding any infectious diseases.
