COVID-19 Alert Level 3

At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.

Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

5. Apply and pay for your outdoor dining licence

You should know

The licencing office will be closed from 12pm(noon) on Tuesday 22 December 2020 to Tuesday 5 January 2021. If you submit an application during this period, we will begin processing it from Wednesday 6 January 2021.

If your licence is due to expire before or during this period, please contact the street trading team to renew your licence before Monday 21 December 2020.

Any new licence applications received after Friday 18 December 2020 will not begin to be processed until 6 January 2021.

Bring your completed application form and supporting documents to one of our service centres and pay by:

  • cash    
  • EFTPOS
  • MasterCard or Visa.

You need to pay the application fee before we can process your application.

We will register your outdoor dining licence within 10 days of receiving your application.  We will contact you if there are any problems with your application.
