COVID-19 Alert Level 1 – Akl Paths information

Parks facilities, including toilets are open at Alert Level 1, with the exception of drinking fountains and outdoor showers which remain closed due to water restrictions.

Aucklanders planning to use these facilities should wash or sanitise their hands before and after use, keep two metres away from other users and should not use these facilities or equipment if they’re feeling unwell.

Where safe physical distancing may not be possible, the use of a face mask is recommended.

Keep track of your visits by making a note or manually checking in to the NZ COVID Tracer app.

Do not visit a park if you are unwell.

Play it safe and follow the latest government advice.

Explore AKL Paths to find your local path.

About the path

This is a nice flat sealed loop starting and finishing at the Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre.

It can be used for walking, running or cycling and is a great flat off road path if you are getting started riding or with your whānau.

The route is easily marked with dots on the pavement and signs on the way around. There's a playground half way around which will suit younger kids, and the Mangere Centre markets at the Mangere Centre here on a Saturday mornings. Finish the path with a swim at the pool.
