At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.
Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.
Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

Alert Parks are open
Our parks and beaches are open. Playgrounds, fitness equipment, basketball courts, skate parks, pump tracks, and tennis courts are open.
Other local clubs may have their tennis courts open. Check their website for details before visiting.
Golf club houses, barbeques, drinking fountains, and other facilities within our parks and open spaces are closed to the public.
Some public toilets remain open for essential workers. A full list of public toilets that are open can be found on Our Auckland and will be updated daily.
Outdoor activities with other people are limited to two household, and a maximum of 10 people. Maintain a 2 metre physical distance from others and wear a face covering.
Your dog is part of your bubble, when exercising your dog please have them on-leash so you can maintain physical distancing in line with government recommendations. Find out where you can walk your dog and the rules before visiting.
Do not visit a park if you are unwell.

A secluded, scenic path running along Pakuranga Creek from West Fairway to Aviemore Drive.
The path sneaks its way alongside the creek behind neighbouring houses and the Pakuranga golf course, running through areas of native bush and crossing under the bridge at Cascades Road. You almost wouldn't know it was there!
The undulating path is fully paved and all off-road. It's a great option for prams and kids wanting to ride their bike or scooter.
You can access the path at either West Fairway or Aviemore Drive. Both starting points have on-street parking.
At West Fairway this path joins up with the Burswood Loop path - a flat, scenic walk with a great playground for younger kids.
