You can apply to book our sports facilities on a casual basis for a specific date and time, or for several dates or times. You cannot book for the duration of a full season.
Before we confirm a casual booking request, we check that:

Summer and winter bookings are usually made on a weekly basis over the seasonal period.
Note: The terms 'summer' and 'winter' refer to the field layouts for the sports seasons.
You can no longer make seasonal bookings for this summer.
Sports fields will be available for training and competition bookings for the winter sporting codes between these dates:
Football, rugby union and rugby league: available from Saturday 4 April 2026 to Sunday 6 September 2026.

Use the casual booking form to request pre-season training.
We will renovate the fields for the winter season from early February until the end of March 2026.
This includes allowing the fields to recover, field layout changes and maintenance.
The fields will close for spring maintenance on Monday 7 September 2026.
Summer renovations will run from early August to the end of October 2026, where possible.
This includes field layout changes and routine maintenance.

Seasonal allocations are made based on our priority sports fields process.
You can apply for seasonal bookings from Monday 15 December 2025 to Sunday 8 February 2026. We will start to notify applicants by 9 March 2026.
We will not accept applications for summer 2025/2026 or summer 2026/2027 seasons during this time.
To make sure we can process your application in time, submit it before applications close.
Requests will be approved at the discretion of our senior maintenance delivery team.

Apply to book our sports facilities on a casual basis for a specific date and time.
Applications for summer casual bookings will close on Sunday 22 February 2026.
We will assess these applications when we have completed the seasonal booking allocations. This is likely to be after Monday 9 March 2026.
Sports fields for winter competition and training are open during these dates:
Football, rugby union and rugby league – available from Saturday 4 April 2026 to Sunday 6 September. Fields close on Monday 7 September 2026 for spring renovations and maintenance.

During the seasonal allocation periods, we give priority to seasonal applications. Casual applications might be delayed during these priority booking periods.
