Vehicle access to Mahurangi West Regional Park is closed to the public due to a slip on Mahurangi West Road. You can only access the park by boat.
The road closure affects access to:

Directions and access
Main park gates are open from 6am to 9pm during daylight savings hours and 6am to 7pm during non-daylight saving hours.
Follow Ngarewa Drive to the end of the road, approximately 2 minutes drive after entering the park continue to the Sullivan's Bay car park.

Park on the western side, on the grass to the right (north) of the notice board. Do not park on the seaward (eastern) side of the road.
You may not park a truck, bus or container. You may not sleep or camp in your vehicle at this site.
Fires prohibited at all times.
