About the Mayoral Proposal

The Mayoral Proposal is an important part of the process to develop and adopt our annual and long-term plans. It outlines the mayor’s vision and priorities for Auckland.

The Draft Mayoral Proposal for the Annual Plan 2026/2027 was released on 1 December 2025

It was then adopted at a Governing Body meeting on 15 December 2025, where topics for public consultation A process where members of the public are invited to provide input, feedback and opinions on specific issues or proposed policies. were decided.

Public consultation for the Annual Plan 2026/2027 ran from 27 February to 29 March 2026.

Elected members of the Governing Body will now consider the feedback as they make final decisions for the plan.
