We do not handle complaints about the quality of service, the taste, flavour or presentation of food. These should be raised with the business' management.

If you are feeling unwell and suspect food poisoning has been caused by eating or drinking contaminated food or drink from a food outlet, then:

• seek medical attention from a doctor
• contact the Auckland Regional Public Health Unit.

The Public Health Unit staff will notify MPI if there is evidence the illness was caused by food.

Contact us if you have concerns or complaints about food business site relating to:

• cleanliness
• food display or storage
• food hygiene practices
• foreign object found in food
• food safety issues
• food labelling
• grading certificate not on display
• unregistered food business.
