About the path

Stroll along iconic Eastern Beach. This scenic walk is flat and great for people of all abilities, even if you're just getting started.

Start at either end of the beach, at Rogers Park or Macleans Park. You can walk along the beach, on the grass behind the beach, or the footpath along The Esplanade (for a pram and wheelchair friendly route).

Enjoy beautiful coastal views out to Auckland's Hauraki Gulf islands.

Pack your towel - the white sand beach is a great spot for a summer swim when the tide is in.

The colourful beachfront kids playground is a great midway stopping point.

At the southern end of the beach you can join up to Macleans Path, or enjoy a picnic under the shade of a pōhutukawa tree.

At Rogers Park at the northern end, kick a ball around the park or take the kids to another playground to let off some steam.
