Online EFTPOS is temporarily down from 31 October 2025 while we do essential system upgrades. We expect the service to be back online in mid-2026. During this time, you will need to use another form of payment.
How to pay your property rates from overseas
The easiest way to pay your property rates from overseas is to have a New Zealand bank account so you can pay by Online EFTPOS. (Unfortunately, Online EFTPOS is not available as a payment option with us until mid-2026).
If you do not have a New Zealand bank account, you can:
- pay by credit card - fees may apply so check with your bank before making a payment
- arrange an international transfer via internet banking - check with your bank to see if they offer this service
- make an international transfer through your bank's internet banking service.
- Confirm with your bank that they offer this service, along with any fees.
Swift codes
Swift codes are unique bank identifiers for transferring money internationally.
Our bank is ASB - swift code ASBBNZ2A.
Bank fees
Payments from overseas bank accounts incur bank fees.
A fee is charged by the overseas bank and the New Zealand bank. You need to include the New Zealand bank fee in your payment.
Contact ASB or your overseas bank for fee information.
