The map on this page shows where freedom camping is not allowed in Albert-Eden under the Freedom Camping in Vehicles Bylaw 2022.

This does not mean that freedom camping is allowed anywhere not shown.

In addition to the bylaw rules for the area in Albert-Eden shown below, you also cannot freedom camp:

at council reserves (parkland held under the Reserves Act), unless we set aside areas for this in future
in regional parks
in car parks where parking is reserved, and/or a fee is charged to park (such as council parking buildings).

General rules apply to freedom camping in other areas in Albert-Eden.

If you are not sure if you can camp where you are, look for signage in the area.
