About the path

Tucked away on the upper shores of the Waitematā Harbour is the small community of Greenhithe.

This path starts at Wainoni Park North, a local reserve with a great playground, large slide, sports fields and even a tractor for children to sit on.

The wide gravel path runs along the edge of the Greenhithe Pony Club. This section of the route is named after Joe Clark, a local soldier who served in WW1.

When you reach Greenhithe Road, cross at the pedestrian refuge and turn right down Roland Road. Walk past the Greenhithe War Memorial Park. Here you'll find a second children's playground, sports fields and also public toilets.

Opposite Thomas Hunter Lane, turn into the walkway next to 71 Roland Street. Cross over the stream and continue through the bush and sheep paddock until you're back on Churchouse Road.

This is a lovely route for walking with your dog but keep them under control.
