Dog registration renewal
All registered dog owners should have received their re-registration notice by the end of June.
If any of the details on your notice have changed since you last registered your dog, you will need to renew your dog registration in person or by mail.
Online and internet banking
Sorry, but an online option is not available in the Manukau City area.
For all other areas you can re-register online.
Pay in person
Take your renewal notice into any one of our service centres by cash, cheque, Eftpos or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Providing none of your details have changed since you last registered, you can also renew at any NZ PostShop or Kiwibank branch.
Pay by mail
Enclose your cheque and completed application form in the return-addressed envelope to.

Registering your dog
If you live in the Auckland Council area, you need to register your dog with us each year. Registration runs from 1 July to 30 June the following year.
You could risk receiving a fine if you don't.
Once registered you will receive an annual reminder (sent to your last known address) to re-register your dog/s.
- You need to register your puppy before it turns three months old.
- Register your dog at the address where it spends the most time.
- You need to microchip your dog within two months of being registered.
- If you are under 16 years of age, you need to register the dog under your parent or guardian's name.

Tell us if you want a disc or strap. Tick your preferred option in the 'Tag preference' box on the registration form.
Send your form, relevant information and your Dog registration fee to:

You should get your disc or strap within ten working days. Contact us if you don't receive it within ten working days.
You can pay in person at any service centre. Remember to bring any copies of supporting information.
You'll receive your disc or strap at time of payment.
SuperGold card holders
SuperGold card holders who have the Community Services endorsement.
If you are claiming the SuperGold Combo card rate for the first time.
- include a copy of the front and back of your card with your application form or renewal notice by post, or
- bring it with you to any service centre.
