What the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Committee does
This is a statutory committee A committee required by law. required under Section 12(1) of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management Act 2002.
It is responsible for:
- leading Auckland's planning and decision-making for the Auckland Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan
- performing the statutory functions of a Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group
- representing Auckland to develop emergency management policy
- working with local boards for emergency management issues.
