What the Regulatory and Safety Committee does
This committee checks the progress of council’s regulatory functions and public safety projects.
Its key focus areas are, (but are not limited to):
- the development and review of regulatory policy and bylaws
- regulatory hearings and decision-making
- appointing independent hearings commissioners and District Licensing Committee chairs
- monitoring community safety projects and related policies.
