At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.

Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

About the Metro Theatre

Metro theatre reflects the influence of the 1920s and the Charleston era with elaborate lattice ceilings.

The theatre is a great space for:

  • workshops
  • rehearsals
  • events
  • performances.

Opening hours

On request only.

Closed on public holidays and for several weeks each year over the Christmas-New Year period.

Booking the Metro Theatre venue

You can book the Māngere East hall online for your events, wedding receptions, functions and meetings.

Disabled access and toilet facilities are available.
