Historic Heritage Information

Tūtangi Ora (Historic Heritage Information) is a database with information on over 20,000 heritage places in the Auckland region, including:

• archaeological and maritime sites
• built and botanical heritage areas and places
• sites of significance to mana whenua
• bibliography of historic heritage documentation.

Tūtangi Ora does not grant formal protection to heritage places.

Tūtangi Ora will be available for public use in late 2024. Email heritage@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz for information about a specific heritage place.
