National Environmental Standards for Freshwater - permitted activities

Certain activities near or in rivers, wetlands, lakes and streams may be permitted under the National Environmental Standards for Freshwater, but they must comply with the relevant conditions.

Notice of undertaking a permitted activity within or near a natural inland wetland

The National Environmental Standards for Freshwater (NES-F) regulates activities that take place within or near natural wetlands, including swamps and marshes.

Notice of undertaking a permitted activity related to fish passage affected by structures

The National Environmental Standards for Freshwater (NES-F) regulate structures, such as a dam or culvert, that affect the passage of fish within rivers or areas connected by water.
