You can request a refund if:
- the deposit you paid included an estimated number of inspections based on the value of your project but the actual number of inspections was fewer
- the refundable damage bond for a historic building project needs to be returned because there was no damage caused.
We make refunds only to the consent applicant, unless you provide written authorisation to refund it to someone else.
You should request a refund at the end of a building project at Code Compliance Certificate stage, when we know the final charges and can refund the correct amount to you.
