Protecting New Zealand's biodiversity

Addressing New Zealand's biodiversity challenge

We have, along with other regional councils, unitary authorities and Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ), sponsored a report on the role of local government in protecting and enhancing our native species and ecosystems.

The report is written as a 'think piece', with the aim of stimulating discussion.

To learn more about the report and LGNZ's recommendations to address New Zealand's biodiversity challenge, see the Local Government New Zealand website.
