Intention to dispose of land at 207 Main Highway, Ellerslie and 70-74 Abbotts Way, Remuera

​Pursuant to s138 Local Government Act 2002, Auckland Council hereby notifies its intention to dispose of the land described in the schedule to this notice, situated at 207 Main Highway, Ellerslie and 70-74 Abbotts Way, Remuera. Auckland Council has approved the land for disposal to enable the acquisition of other open space in the Ōrākei Local Board area.

• 207 Main Highway, Ellerslie is a 861m2 property with a steep sloping contour rising from the road and dense mature planting through the centre.
• 70-74 Abbots Way is a 3.2-hectare open space on the Ellerslie/Remuera boundary. The area proposed for disposal is 3,260m² in the north-east corner, representing approximately 10% of the total area. The rest of the property will remain as public open space.

Auckland Council has determined that it is not required for park, and no current or future council service use has been identified by Council. It is proposed that the land may be sold on the open market.

Any person wishing to object to the disposal of this land may do so in writing no later than 5pm on 10 May 2024.
