Fire permit application and renewal

Fire and Emergency New Zealand is now responsible for:
- setting regional fire seasons
- issuing or renewing fire permits
- addressing fire hazards on private properties
- general fire safety complaints.
See Fire and Emergency New Zealand website fireandemergency.nz for details.
You will need to go to the Fire and Emergency New Zealand fire permit website to check your current fire season and apply for a fire permit.
To check the current fire season of an area, visit Fire and Emergency New Zealand and click "Check and apply now" to view fire season map.
