COVID-19 Parks and barbecue information

Parks and some toilets are open.

Playgrounds are open for use but you must wash and dry hands or use hand sanitiser before and after use; do not to touch your face, cough and sneeze into your elbow and if you have cold or flu symptoms to stay off the equipment.

Drinking fountains are closed, not all regional park barbecues may be available.

Maintain social distancing of 2 metres from other users. Do not visit a park if you are unwell.

Take note of the following when using barbecues in our parks, reserves or beaches:

  • You cannot take coal or wood burning barbeques into parks, reserves or beaches.
  • You can take your own gas barbecue into parks and reserves, but you must not use it near or under trees.
  • All open flamed barbecues should be elevated at least 30cm off the ground.
