Apply for the 2024 Artist in Residence

​The 2024 Artist in Residence is an opportunity to live and work in an Auckland regional park for eight weeks during October and November 2024.

Aim of the residency

The aim of the residency is to:

  • support artistic endeavours in Auckland regional parks
  • share the art created to highlight overlooked or undervalued aspects of the regional parks
  • raise awareness of the regional park as a place of interest and inspiration.

We welcome applications from:

  • photographers
  • printmakers
  • painters
  • sculptors
  • film makers
  • installation artists
  • composers
  • writers
  • poets
  • choreographers
  • and other creatives.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

Residency location for 2024

In 2024, the residency is in Waitawa Regional Park.
