Bookmark When a bookmark is shared via e-mail, it will not add to the bookmark list, which is found under the bookmark tool on the top of the map.. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Draw For best results, use desktop This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Draw The Import and Save functionality in the Draw tool is not available on tablets This applies to tablets only.
Draw Save ability is temporarily not available in the Draw tool for the desktop version. This applies temporarily to the desktop only.
Draw There is no ability to move drawings in the Draw tool on tablets This applies to tablets only.
Draw There is no function to Copy or Paste in the Draw tool on tablets. This applies to tablets only.
Draw Undo does not remove associated text for shapes (i.e. perimeter and area) This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Draw It is not possible to reshape graphics in tablets This applies to tablets only.
Draw When drawing on a tablet, click once to start the sketch, but please note that you will not see the segment of the line or polygon until you tap for the second vertex. This applies to tablets only.
Draw Unable to select point graphics This applies to tablets only
Environmental Monitoring Tool The Hydrotel Environmental Monitoring tool is temporarily disabled pending the finalising of functionality. This applies temporarily to both desktop and tablets.
Extract tool Each export job goes into a queue, and is processed in sequence. For this reason, the email with the extracted data may be delayed. Other reasons for a delay could be the size of the area requested, and how many layers the user wishes to download. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Legend Unable to move the order of layers in the legend This applies to tablets only.
Link to Geotechnical reports Geotechnical reports will remain in the legacy Rodney viewer for the time being. Will be delivered after go-live. Available in desktop; not in tablets
Locate It is not possible to copy coordinates on tablet devices This applies to tablets only
Locate In some instances, it is difficult to select items from the drop down menus of tablets. Try
typing and then tapping on the predictive text that appears.
This applies to tablets only.
Performance If you are using GeoMaps late at night, please be aware that the performance may be slower than expected. This is due to nightly data updates running across the system. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Printing In some instances, printing may take a few minutes to complete This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Printing The legend will not print when exporting to a jpg. Jpg files do not support multiple page output. Use the pdf option if you need the legend printed. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Predictive search For some addresses, the search function may return multiples of the same address in the drop down text. Each record will zoom to the same place. The user should pick one from the list and carry on as expected. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Results panel\Legend Cannot be resized or expanded This applies to tablets only.
Timeslider The Timeslider is not available at this stage. Please load the Aerials Theme with the Theme switcher tool, and then use the legend to turn on/off and compare the various years of aerial imagery. This applies temporarily to desktop. The Timeslider is not available on tablets.
Usability On some tablets, a small portion of the bottom of the display is cut off. If this occurs, swipe up to see the bottom of the display which will include results counts, the coordinates and the map scale. This applies to tablets only.
Usability Intermittent failure to load default when in Android/Chrome.
This issue of the failure to load the viewer in Chrome on an Android tablet is persistent. The viewer will appear to be loading for 5-15 seconds, and then the application name appears on the tab. Unfortunately, at this point the form stops with only a white background, with no elements of GeoMaps loaded.
Use the default Android browser instead. This issue is intermittent, so Chrome will work greater than 50% of the time.
This applies to Android tablets only.
Workspaces Updating and renaming a workspace causes the chosen layers to be switched off in the legend. If you need to edit an existing workspace, the workaround is to save a new one. This applies to both desktop and tablets.
Transparency It is not possible to set layer transparency for tablets This applies to tablets only
Workspaces It is not possible to share workspaces. Attempting to share will result in an undefined workspace This applies to both desktop and tablets.
