About Dove-Myer Robinson Park

Named after Sir Dove-Myer Robinson, the popular and longest-serving (18 years) mayor of Auckland.

The park is home to the Parnell Rose Gardens and the Nancy Steen Gardens. It is a festival of colour and scent as some 5000 rose bushes grow here. There are also several remarkable native trees, including the oldest manuka and largest pōhutukawa tree in Auckland.

Enjoy the views over the harbour and Judges Bay. There is a great network of paths and plenty of spots for a picnic.

Access from Gladstone Road. Pedestrians can also access from Judges Bay Road.

Accessible toilets and changing rooms, car park, picnic tables and seating, drinking fountains and barbecues are inside the park.

Follow the 2.7km Te Ara o Taurarua / Judges Bay Path to enjoy the beauty of the rose gardens and views of the Waitematā Harbour.

Animals

Dogs must be on leash at all times in our parks unless otherwise stated in the dog walking section.

Alcohol

Smokefree parks

Our parks are all smokefree.

Waste

Use bins where provided to dispose of your rubbish. If there are no bins take all rubbish and recycling with you when you leave.

Outdoor fires

It is illegal to light open fires in public areas in the Auckland region.
