College Hill emergency stormwater pipe replacement works

Current status of the project

We have completed the full replacement and upgrade of the stormwater pipeline on College Hill, Ponsonby.

What the upgrade included

The upgrade included:

  • a new 250-metre stormwater pipe with a 600mm internal diameter
  • three new catchpits (holes that stop rubbish and water from blocking pipes by collecting them instead)
  • a new median strip
  • a planting bay.

Auckland Transport will replace the asphalt on College Hill, from Wood Street to the Beaumont Street intersection in February 2024.
