You will receive a discount for your rates if you pay for the year in full by the date your first instalment is due. To get the discount, make sure you are up to date with any overdue rates fees and charges. The discount for the 2025/2026 rating year is 1.31 per cent.

Use your online myAUCKLAND account to get copies of your current or previous property rates bills.
The most convenient way to pay your property rates is by setting up a direct debit.

You can use Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.
Online EFTPOS is temporarily unavailable as a payment method until mid-2026.
Check your bank's terms and conditions before using this online payment method.
Make sure any automatic payments cover the rates you owe by the due date.
Phone banking payments on the due date are considered as being made on time.
Pay rates in person at one of our libraries with council services or at a Postshop.
