This webinar on 5 September 2023 was created especially for Auckland homeowners whose property or neighbourhood was impacted by severe weather in early 2023.

A panel of experts shared the latest information available for:

  • placards
  • flood-affected land
  • property categorisation
  • future flood mitigation
  • the home buyout scheme.

In the second part of the webinar, the panel also answered residents' questions and concerns.

Funding Auckland's storm recovery

This consultation about funding Auckland's story recovery between central government and Auckland Council closed on 24 September 2023.

We are currently analysing your feedback and will use this to make a decision about how we should proceed with the proposed funding package.

Storm recovery and resilience plans

This consultation to inform how Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland recovers from the recent floods and builds flood resilience for the future closed on 31 August 2023.

We are currently analysing your feedback and will use this to:

  • shape the development of the Tāmaki Makaurau Recovery Plan
  • refine the Making Space for Water programme.

Auckland Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan

This consultation to review our Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan closed on 31 August 2023.

We are currently analysing your feedback and will use this to shape our approach to building resilience in Auckland’s Civil Defence and Emergency Management system over the next five years.
