COVID-19 Alert Level 3: Step 1 – Kerbside rubbish, recycling and food scraps collections
Auckland’s kerbside rubbish, recycling and food scraps collections are an essential service and will continue as usual. Place your bags and bins out by 7am on your collection day.
Bin tags will be removed. Only bins with bin tags will be collected for the pay as you throw service.
For those in self-isolation or feeling unwell please double bag your rubbish. Put all of your rubbish (including tissues and disposable masks) in a plain plastic rubbish bag, and tie the bag when it is about three-quarters full. Then place the plastic bag either into your council rubbish bag or wheelie bin.
After you have placed these materials inside your council rubbish bag or bin, wait 72 hours before placing your council rubbish bag or bin out on the kerbside for collection.
Inner city centre bag deliveries
Bag deliveries and the rubbish bag letter mailout has been delayed and won’t be actioned until Auckland's alert level is reduced to Step 2 of the Auckland's Alert Level 3 restrictions.
If you have run out of bags, call us on 09 301 0101 and we will assess your request and call you back.
