Long-term Plan 2024-2034 documents

The council's Governing Body adopted the Long-term Plan 2024-2034 (LTP) on 27 June 2024.

​This long-term plan sets out how Auckland Council will work to improve the daily lives of Aucklanders over the next 10 years and how we will fund our activities.

Volume 1: Overview

Section one: An introduction to our LTP 2024-2034. This includes a brief overview of our strategies and the budget.

Section two: Our financial overview and prospective financial statements for 2024-2034 and other important financial information.

Section three: Report from the Auditor General.

Section four: Additional information, including:

  • structure of the council
  • ways to contact the council
  • a glossary of terms.

Section one: Our key strategies.

Section two: Our activities, including summary information about the services we deliver, our performance measures and our budget.

Section one: An overview of our local boards and their spend for 2024-2034.

Section two: Specific information for each of the 21 local boards, including local board agreements.

​Final Mayoral Proposal for the LTP

The Governing Body adopted the final Mayoral Proposal for the LTP on 16 May 2024.

​​Staff advice to support the final Mayoral Proposal

Advice from Auckland Council and council-controlled organisations supported the development of the Mayoral Proposal.

This advice is captured in the 'Staff Advice to support the Mayoral Proposal' document. This document provides details about the options presented for the mayor to consider in his proposal.

​Mayoral Proposal for the draft LTP

A draft Mayoral Proposal was released on 1 December 2023. It outlined the mayor’s vision and the mayor and councillors' priorities for the LTP.
